Annotation. The growing need for effective interactive approaches in foreign language education highlights the relevance of studying teaching methods that enhance learner engagement and communicative competence. In this context, dramatization and role-play activities are recognized as powerful pedagogical tools that integrate emotional, cognitive, and communicative dimensions of learning. The purpose of this study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the efficiency of dramatization and role-play in foreign language instruction and to identify their specific pedagogical advantages. The methodological framework includes comparative analysis, content analysis, classroom observation, and elements of a pedagogical experiment. The findings demonstrate that dramatization enhances learners’ emotional involvement, interpretative skills, intonation patterns, and expressive abilities. Role-play, in turn, develops spontaneous speech, improvisation, communicative strategies, and social interaction. Experimental data also confirm that combining these techniques leads to improved dialogic skills, richer vocabulary use, increased confidence, and higher motivation. Additionally, both methods contribute to reducing communication anxiety and creating a supportive learning environment.
